ABOUT
McGill Commodities Trading Group is a SSMU-affiliated McGill University student organization, launched in 2023. MCTG's purpose is to inform, educate and promote the industry of commodity trading to McGill students. In a dynamic environment that blends academic and professional environments, MCTG organizes a number of events throughout the year, inviting speakers from a wide range of commodities backgrounds. The club also provides a weekly newsletter for members, offers a trading competition, and connects analysts with companies within the commodities industry.

Our executive team is made up of students from a wide range of backgrounds and profiles, reflecting the diversity of both the McGill student body and the commodities industry as a whole. Fields of study include management, finance, economics, marketing mathematics, economics, international relations, and many more.
